Methi Pulav


I wanted to make something with methi because I had left-over leaves after methi pappu. So decided to make methi pulav.

Posting this recipe after tasting the dish . It turned out brilliant.

Ingredients:
Basmati rice - 2 cups
Cloves - 4
Bay leaves - 2
One big cinnamon stick
Cumin seeds - 1 Tsp
Green chillis - 4 slit length wise
Coriander leaves
Garam masala powder - 1 Tbsp
Pinch of turmeric powder
Pinch of chilli powder
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tb
Onion - 1
Tomato - 1
Methi leaves - 1 bunch
Oil & Salt - to taste

Method:


Take a non-stick pan and add 5 tb of oil,cumin seeds,cinnamon,bay leaves,cloves and green chillis.










After 2 mins, add onions,ginger garlic paste and coriander leaves












After onions turn transparent, add tomatoes and turmeric powder and chilli powder.










After tomatoes are little cooked, add methi leaves. Make sure u remove all the stems. Or else it will taste bitter.










Then add garam masala powder, salt and basmati rice to it and cook until water is evaporated.











Now transfer all the ingredients into electric cooker. Once it is done...serve it hot with kurma and curd.
