Methi Dal is very healthy ,rich in proteins and others minerals and vitamins.
Ingredients:
Methi leaves-1/2 Bunch
Toor Dal -1 Cup
Mustard Seeds - 1 Tsp
Cumin Seeds - 1 Tsp
Green chillis - 4
Onions -1
Garlic-3 pods
Coriander to garnish
Turmeric powder-1/2 Tbsp
Oil & Salt - to taste
Method:
Boil methi leaves and toor dal in a pressure cooker. Put it aside.
Take a non-stick pan, and add 2 tbsp of olive oil. After oil is heated, add mustard seeds,cumin seeds,garlic pods cut into pieces,green chillis cut in to pieces.After garlic turns into brown color add sliced onion and turmeric powder & cook until onions are completely cooked.
Now to this add boiled methi and toor dal.
Cook for 4-5 more mins and switch off the stove.
Take the cooked methi pappu into another bowl and garnish with coriander leaves.
Rice , pappu and a papad make an excellent combination.
