Rice - 4 cups
Red Chilli (whole) - 8
Mustard seeds - 1 Teaspoon
Cumin Seeds - 1 Teaspoon
Dhaniya (Coriander Seeds) - 1 Teaspoon
Urad Dal - 2 Teaspoons
Peanuts - 1/2 cup
Capsicum - Red (half), Yellow (half), Orange (half), Green (half)
Garam Masala - 1/2 Teaspoon
Salt & Oil - To taste

Method:

First Cook the rice.

Heat a pan and add red chilli, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, dhaniya and urad dal and then fry it till urad dal gets golden brown color ( we do not have to add oil to it as we need to powder the ingredients, it should all be dry fried).

Then add peanuts and fry it for 5 mins.

Then add these ingredients to a food processor and make it a coarse powder.

Add Garam masala and salt to this powder and keep it aside.

Cut the capsicum into cube size.

Take a pan and add Ghee or butter and fry the capsicum till the pieces are soft. Then add the powder to this and fry it for 5 more mins.

Add this mixture to the cooked rice and serve hot.

You can have this rice either with Raita or even with Sambar.
